Vaginal discharge is a body’s function to clean and protect the vagina.

Glands produce a fluid that flows out daily to get rid of dead cells. Here’s what different types of discharge may indicate:

⚪️ White: a bit of it before and after your period is normal. Together with vaginal itching, it can be a symptom of a yeast infection.
⚪️ Clear and watery: absolutely normal on any day of your cycle.
⚪️ Clear and stretchy: may be a sign of ovulation.
🟤 Brown or bloody: may occur right after your periods (which is totally okay). In other cases could be a sign of pregnancy, miscarriage, or some abnormal growths.
🟡 Yellow or green: most likely is a sign of STIs.
